Day 316: Heroes At Home

After all the talk yesterday about veterans and our soldiers, I began to think about the holidays and how hard it must be to not have a family member there to spend it with. I began to do a little Google searching and came across something Sears does called, "Heroes at Home."Each year they ask for donations to help provide gifts for families with a deployed military member. Since the beginning in 2007, they raised a whopping $18 million and helped over 100,000 families.

Donations are being accepted until November 22. To donate, click this link. According to the website, 100% of the funds helps families to buy practical gifts, clothing and holiday decorations. As the holidays roll around, I always think about how blessed I am. This holiday season, why not donate to a family who is making that blessing a reality?
